Are you thinking about making an offer on a house? Have you been searching for a home in Florida for weeks, months or even possibly years? Are you wrestling between making an offer on a property? Or perhaps between two properties that both seem like they could be the perfect place to call home?
Thinking About Making an Offer? Take This Approach:
Here is what I suggest: Go back to your original list of what you are looking for in your home. Does the house you are considering meet those asks, requirements and/or needs? Does this soon-to-be home fit within your budget? Can you see yourself living there?
Make a List (Again) Before Making an Offer on a House
If your search morphed or evolved at all (which by the way is totally normal): consider making a new list and compare and contrast. Pros and cons, highlights and low lights, contributors and detractors are ways to assess the viability of a home for you and your family (if applicable). Do physically write the out the list. The reason I encourage this step is so you are not inclined to subconsciously or intentionally overlook an important detail or attribute.
It’s Ok to Infuse Some Emotion:
Lastly – when all else fails – and you still find yourself struggling. Go for a walk or a drive. We have so many beautiful spots here in the Jacksonville and St. Augustine areas. From the Beaches to the St. Johns River – enjoy the scenery. While I am all about the analytics of a buy – sometimes dreaming and emotion need to come into the equation. Be at peace with your decision and then approach it like a business transaction.
