Few things can get the internet abuzz in on a random Tuesday in Northeast Florida like a new adventure/amenity/experience type announcement. Yet on October 1, that is exactly what happened with the press release of the aventuur Wavegarden slated for eTown.
Site Secured in eTown for Aventuur Jacksonville Surf Park
aventuur, a global developer, will build a world-class surf park in eTown. The Jacksonville Surf Park will deliver the Wavegarden Cove lagoon. This facility will offer surf, well-being experiences and leisure activities. Visitors can look forward to a range of activities and amenities including a surf academy, health and wellness center, beach club, boutique hotel, event space and retail stores.
Longtime in the Making:
This project has been years in the making. The developer admits to having spent almost a decade researching, planning and strategizing to bring this project to Jacksonville. A multi-facet partnership helped get the deal for this amenity across the finish line. This project will be a sustainable surf park that mingles sport, recreation, hospitality and tourism amenities. Construction is slated to start in 2026 with a completion date of 4Q25 targeted.
What to Expect from Aventuur Jacksonville Surf Park:
A press release for the park indicates “The park will provide waves, surf instruction, fitness training and physical recovery tailored to suit all levels, from first-timers and junior surfers through to elite athletes. Mental wellness, water safety, resilience and surf therapy programs will further encourage guests to develop healthy minds alongside healthy bodies.”
