Big announcement in Jacksonville today from the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences and Shad Khan’s Iguana Investments Florida LLC. Slated for a 2026 opening, the new property was announced to the public. The Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Jacksonville will be the focal point of the Jacksonville Shipyards development. Strategically placed overlooking the scenic St. Johns River, the hotel and residences will be adjacent to the existing sports complex.
About the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Jacksonville
Today’s announcement indicates the hotel will boast 170 luxury rooms and suites along with 26 private residence offerings. On the dining front, patrons and locals can expect four dining/lounge experiences including a rooftop bar and restaurant, pool grill and bar, lobby bar along with an all-day restaurant. Additional amenities will include a world-class spa, gym, meeting and event space, multiple pools and the Kids for All Seasons Program.
Area Enhancements
As part of the buildout of Jacksonville Shipyards, guests, residents and locals will have access to a redeveloped marina on the St. Johns River. Development includes a restored Met Park. This 18.25 acre park dates back to 1982 with initial groundbreaking. Metropolitan Park won the 1986 Governor’s Design Award. The Florida National Pavilion, located inside of Metropolitan Park, has hosted the Jacksonville Music and Jazz Festivals. The hotel development, restoration of the Park and a modern office building represent Phase 1 of the initiative. For Phase 2, Iguana holds rights to develop 5 acres to the west of the Shipyards office building. If exercised, look for a mixed use development that may include medical facilities, retail, residential and office space.
