Are you considering a move and interested in learning about Northeast FL gluten free breakfast spots? Hi – I’m Alysia and I’m a local Realtor in the Jacksonville metro area. I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease almost 4 years ago. Here’s the thing – I love to eat (and cook) but learning how to eat safely in (at the time) a relatively new to me area was beyond challenging.
Let’s Explore some Northeast Florida Gluten Free Breakfast Spots
So I’m happy to share some of my favorite eats in the local area and today we’ll start with breakfast spots. All of these eateries – I’ve eaten at multiple times without any issues. Bonus points to all as my family is not gluten free and they love all of them too. Remember – always ask the questions that you need to make yourself comfortable and know you’re eating safely.
Canopy Road Cafe (Multiple Locations)
I’ll start my list off with @canopyroadcafe as they are the closest to home. Here my go to meals are the skillets or pancakes. We frequent the St. Johns location (90 Shops Blvd, Suite 10, St. Johns, FL). There is a second location in the Jacksonville area on Philips Highway.
Connolly’s Shore Grill (St. Augustine)
Next is my personal favorite: @connollysshoregrill in St. Augustine. I don’t think I’ve made it through the menu of offerings here and everything is amazing! Definitely recommend the pancakes and check out the mimosa flights too. Address: 4320 A1A S Suite 9, St. Augustine, FL 32080
Magic Waffle (Jacksonville)
If you are in the Mandarin area, you will want to check out @magicwaffle.us. So much fun and they have some great offerings. Here, you’ll be enjoying a bubble waffle when visiting and boba tea is an option. This is a fun spot for breakfast for an afternoon treat. Address: 11362 San Jose Blvd #15, Jacksonville, FL.
Metro Diner:
A popular Florida diner destination, @metrodiner is another spot with multiple area locations. Trivia note: they were featured on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives back in 2010. They have a gluten friendly menu and also have a number of delicious offerings. Address: 12807 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL. Locally, there are options in Orange Park, Ortega, Ponte Vedra Beach, San Marco, Southside, Jacksonville Beach and St. Augustine.
First Watch:
@firstwatch is another area cafe with some great offerings. Address: 12540 Bartram Park Blvd, Jacksonville, FL. Other locations include Mandarin, Baymeadows, Southside, Jacksonville Beach, Hodges Pointe Plaza, Ortega Park, Oak Leaf and Riverside.
