Shake Shack comes to Jacksonville – the first location in Northeast FL will open on September 18th at Town Center. The popular NYC Burger Chain takes over the former location of M Shack at 10281 Midtown Parkway (Unit 101).
Favorites at Shake Shack
Fans of the chain and regulars from other regions will know the menu and surely have their favorites. For those new to Shake Shack, you can expect burgers, crinkle-cut fries, shakes, frozen custard, hot dogs and drinks. Wine and beer will eventually be available but may not be for sale on opening day. Additionally, each store endeavors to customize the beverage menu to local flavors of its city. So what is the most famous item on the menu? Look for the ShackBurger made as a single or double option.
Location, Location, Location
Wondering where the newest store is located? Look no further than 10281 Midtown Parkway (Unit 101), Jacksonville, FL in St. Johns Town Center. Conveniently located – the storefront plans to be open from 11-10 Sunday to Thursday and until 11 pm on Friday and Saturday. This location will be one of 262 in the US and 142 internationally.
Opening Day Perks When Shake Shack Comes to Jacksonville
The Jacksonville Daily Record is reporting that $1 from each sandwich sold on opening day will be donated to Feeding Northeast Florida. Early guests can also plan to bring/donate nonperishable food items on September 18th.
Fans of the NYC-origin shop will be excited to have their own Shake Shack locally. Since it’s July 2004 opening, the chain has been serving up memorable shakes, burgers and fries.
Will this be your new go-to burger destination in town or will other local eateries remain atop your list? While I’m a Shake Shack fan – personally, I am hard pressed to consider it in lieu of some other favorites (my top vote going to Epik Burger). Especially compared to the variety of options I have at Epik, being gluten free.
