Seriously–since moving to Florida there is nothing I love more than hearing people say “I’m thinking about moving to FL.” Another favorite is “Can you tell me more about communities like Shearwater, SilverLeaf, Nocatee or Beachwalk?.” I feel like Donkey in Shrek with the whole “Pick Me” routine wanting to answer the questions.
Could Moving to Florida Be For You?
If you had asked me 10 years ago if I’d be living in FL (not just today – but at any point in my life) – I likely would have given you a crazy look. Why? The life I knew was commuting (25 hours/week), working full time in NYC and raising our family in CT.
Fast forward–a relative moved to the Jacksonville area for work. We planned a surprise trip that first Christmas to visit with extended family. While we had a great time, we suddenly realized people can actually LIVE in Florida. But seriously–to someone who spent their entire life in New England – Florida was more of a vacation destination.
So when I now see/hear people thinking about moving to the area–I strive to help them realize what I wish I had learned sooner. The Jacksonville metro area is an amazing place to call home. From the weather, to city happenings, the history of St. Augustine and St. Johns County schools–there’s truly something for most everyone.
How Can I Help?
My offer to you: If you see read this post AND you’re thinking about moving to Florida then contact me. Feel free to ask me ALL the questions. Seriously – It is an open invitation. What worked for my family may not work for you–but I will be honest and truthful. My commitment is to help you decide if this would be the right fit for you/your family.
No matter what: If you are considering a move–find someone who will listen to you, the whys of your move and what you/your family needs. Those needs are HIGHLY individual and finding solutions to your questions can make all the difference if a relocation will be successful or not.
If you’ve made the decision to relocate to the Jacksonville area: Ask me about my rental listings in Jacksonville (3434 Atherton Street or 3439 Drexel Street) and St. Augustine (572 Coastline Way) or my townhouse listing in St. Augustine (201 Talulla Trail). Beyond those offerings, we can search the MLS for properties that would best suit your individual needs.
